Another busy week at Magenta HQ!
Here’s 3 things that got Magenta talking this week….
Magenta is delighted to report that Gretchen and Rebecca passed their CISI Pension Transfer and Planning Advice exam! Congratulations to them both! This exam is a level 6 certificate focusing on retirement planning and specifically pension transfers. In today’s world of pension freedoms, pension transfer advice is likely to be sought more frequently by clients and success in attaining this qualification highlights Magenta’s commitment to providing expert advice at the highest level in this specialist area.
We’ve been recording new video content for our social media platforms and You Tube and will be rolling some of these out next week! In these we discuss Brexit, the Magenta Manual and what the client experience is like for a new client of Magenta. Our You Tube channel can be found here.
Does anyone else remember ATM punch cards? Only one of the Magenta team does (Mandy) and the rest of us thought she was making it up as it sounded so alien to us! But these early ATM cards date back to the mid 60’s, early 70’s and a user would put these cards into the cash dispenser, enter their number and receive £10 in cash. The machine would then keep the card, which would then be processed by staff and returned to the customer in the post! It’s amazing how things have changed and moved on with modern technology. We’d love to know if you remember these too or your memories about personal banking before technology really took hold?
