Magenta is proud to be supporting The Stroke Association and CF Warriors as part of the NextGen Planners 24 hour Global Commute, charity NextGenathon!

On the 22nd June, NextGen Planners will be hosting an online morning financial planning show, over 24 hours, over all times zones.

It starts at 08:30am BST and there will be a 30-minute show every hour, for 24 hours. As this moves through each time zone, they will welcome guests from around the world in a global celebration of financial planning and at the same time raise money for charities including The Stroke Association and CF Warriors. This will be streamed on YouTube here

Magenta jumped at the chance to be involved in this massive event and fundraiser – so we have two of our staff involved and undertaking charity challenges!

Here’s what we are up to:

Jessica

At the start of lockdown you may remember Jess set herself the challenge to climb Mount Snowdon, virtually. This meant walking up and down her staircase for around 3 hours until she had virtually climbed 1,085m. She’ll admit – it was tougher than she expected!

For her next challenge and as part of the NextGen Global Commute, she’s committed to virtually climb Ben Nevis by climbing her staircase 587 times to reach the 1,345m summit. She’s starting at 5.30pm and will be on the show – letting people know how she’s getting on – for the next few hours.

Good luck to Jess!

Gretchen

Gretchen is embarking on an extreme crafting challenge!

Gretchen’s second passion (after financial planning) is Art and over 24 hours she’ll aim to complete 24 different art and craft projects, 1 per hour, and will be showing us her progress every hour, by checking in at the end of each and every global commute show.

As well as raising money for charity, Gretchen hopes to inspire us all to embrace art and craft to improve our wellbeing!

At Magenta we have experienced first-hand of how Stroke and Cystic Fibrosis impacts people’s lives and we know that these charities, now more than ever, need our support.

It would be AMAZING if you could dig deep and support any one of the two charities that we are supporting via this event. Follow the links below.
