Next month will see the launch of the “Women Talking Money” podcast – a new weekly dose of open conversations talking about the taboo topic of money.

Hosted by Magenta’s MD Gretchen, this podcast focuses on celebrating women’s diverse experiences in the business world, challenging societal norms around money.

Each episode will feature a unique guest, offering a broad spectrum of insights from entrepreneurs, executives, financial experts, and creatives.

The goal? Applauding achievements and sparking open dialogues about money.

“Women Talk Money” dives into the personal and professional journeys of women, highlighting their triumphs, challenges, and unfiltered perspectives.

The podcast will feature an unapologetic focus on money matters – from discussions about what money lessons were learnt as children, to navigating salary negotiations. All episodes will touch on crucial topics such as money values, debt, first jobs, how we teach the next generation about money and financial wellness.

Whilst we like to think we are becoming a more equal society; the reality is women continue to face a particular set of challenges when it comes to managing their income and planning for the future. Currently approximately only 35% of women seek financial advice in their lifetime.

This original podcast aims to inspire women to pursue their financial goals and to consider their money values and habits, contributing to the ongoing conversation about women and finance.

The first episode launches on Monday 5th February 2024, you can stream Women Talking Money on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
